What makes this product sustainable?
At Eugenie, we do the research to make it easy for you to find products that you can feel good about purchasing, using, and wearing.
Each new designer we work with starts with a conversation about sustainability and how it relates to their brand and products.
Sustainability can mean many different things, we tried to break it down for you in a way that is easy to understand.
Local Production
All BRUCE jewelry is entirely handmade by the designer, Laura Powers, at her studio in New York. By practicing such intimate production, BRUCE is able to keep their carbon footprint low while ensuring each piece is made responsibly and with care.
Recycled Materials
The mining industry is extremely detrimental to both environmental and social health, which is why BRUCE ’s commitment to responsible sourcing is so crucial. BRUCE's gold is blended using exclusively recycled materials, like bench scraps and gold dust, rather than mined gold.
To further reduce their impact, BRUCE uses recycled, compostable and biodegradable packaging and marketing materials.
Natural Materials
BRUCE believes beautiful jewelry should not compromise the environment, so all of their pieces are made from recycled fair-mined 14k gold, reclaimed conflict-free diamonds, and Fairtrade mine-to-market stones.
