Object Apparel at eugenie

We’re excited to welcome Object Apparel to eugenie! Join us on November 6 for the launch of their newest collection by Mollie Decker and Michael Sklenka, recipients of the 2026 eugenie Designer Grant.

Based in North Corktown, Detroit, Object Apparel is an all-gender clothing brand founded in 2015. Design and production happen under one roof in their own studio. As the first-place recipients of the eugenie Designer Grant, they received $10,000 to develop a slow, sustainable collection made from hemp.

The collection brings together vibrant colors, everyday comfort, and durable design. Inspired by their architectural backgrounds, the duo creates adaptable, long-lasting garments with a focus on material integrity. Each piece is designed, cut, sewn, naturally dyed, and printed in their Detroit studio.

Hemp offers a more sustainable alternative to many conventional textile fibers, requiring less water, minimal to no pesticides, and less land to grow than many other natural fibers. Through this collection, Object Apparel highlights the beauty and versatility of hemp, while demonstrating how a thoughtful, sustainable wardrobe can be created from field to finish.

To celebrate the launch, Object Apparel will join us in-store with a selection of limited-edition pieces from the collection, available exclusively at eugenie.

See you there!
